Biosketch

I am a plant ecologist working at the interface of population and community ecology. I am also interested in plant - animal interactions and applied research in agroecology and ecological restoration. The topics of my research projects are
(1) Local plant adaptation and the question of seed origin in ecological restoration
(2) Plant succession following land use changes and restoration of biodiversity
(3) The restoration of functional biodiversty and ecosystem services in agroecosystems

My teaching experience includes all levels of university education, from undergraduate to PhD students. Since 2013, I am predominantly teaching undergraduate students at the University of Avignon (IUT). My courses involve lectures, practical work and student projects in general ecology, soil sciences, agriculture and ecological restoration.

Outside science, I have been working for environmental consultancies and NGOs on a freelance basis (vegetation mapping, ecological evaluation, organic agriculture, agricultural policy)
