Among the survivors, <strong data-start=\"399\" data-end=\"409\">22,3 %<\/strong> had blackened eyes (figure c above), a sign of previous infection.<\/p><p data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"962\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.imbe.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Ponchon-et-al-BiolCons-2026-No-impact-of-black-eye-symptom-on-Northern-gannets-1.pdf\">This article<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imbe.fr\/en\/annuaire\/aurore-ponchon\/\">Aurore Ponchon<\/a> and colleagues, published in <em><span class=\"journal text-small\">Biological Conservation<\/span><\/em>, shows that these individuals do not show any notable differences in their foraging behaviour.
