But it is not, <strong>the cultivation of vines (<em><span class=\"moz-txt-underscore\">Vitis vinifera<\/span><\/em>) is still largely based on the use of pesticides<\/strong>, These include the copper sulphate contained in the famous Bordeaux mixture, used as a fungicide. While this product effectively protects vines against certain diseases, it can also affect soil organisms that are essential to the proper functioning of agro-ecosystems.<\/p><p><a href=\"https:\/\/amu.hal.science\/hal-05489517v1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A recent study<\/a> by Flor Regus, C\u00e9line Pelosi, Rayhane Hamrouni, Isabelle Laffont Schwob, Nawal Rochdi, Pascale Prudent, Lisa Foli, Yoan Labrousse et <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imbe.fr\/en\/annuaire\/anne-marie-farnet-da-silva\/\">Anne-Marie Farnet Da Silva<\/a>, published in <em>Biological Agriculture &amp; Horticulture,<\/em> explores an alternative <br \/>promising: biocontrol based on <em><span class=\"moz-txt-underscore\">Trichoderma asperellum<\/span><\/em>, a micro-organism capable of producing antifungal compounds.<\/p><p>The authors compared the effects on a wine-growing soil of copper sulphate, a biocontrol cocktail, and their combination, by monitoring soil microbial activity and certain earthworm markers for 30 days. <em>Aporrectodea caliginosa<\/em> (biomass, reproduction).<\/p><p><strong>The results show that biocontrol has no deleterious effect and can even stimulate microbial activity and earthworm growth.
