href=\"https:\/\/www.inee.cnrs.fr\/fr\/evenement\/seeb-2026\/plainedelacrau\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a day dedicated to the ecological restoration of the ecosystems of the Crau Plain<\/a>, as part of Ecology, Environment and Biodiversity Week (SEEB), organised <span class=\"break-words          tvm-parent-container\"><span dir=\"ltr\">by<a href=\"https:\/\/www.inee.cnrs.fr\/fr\/seeb-2026\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u2018Institute of Ecology and Environment<\/a> (INEE) of the CNRS <\/span><\/span><\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\"><strong>63 participants from a variety of backgrounds<\/strong> \u2014 businesses, engineering firms, local authorities, associations, government departments and the research community \u2014 came together on Thursday 4 June to discuss <strong>Issues and practices in sustainable ecological restoration<\/strong>.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The morning began with a visit to the Natural Compensation, Restoration and Renaturation Site at the former Cossure orchard, in partnership with CDC Biodiversit\u00e9.<\/p><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The afternoon continued with a field visit to see several practical operations in action:<\/p><ul data-spread=\"false\"><li>the restoration of the La M\u00e9nudelle quarry<\/li><li>a restoration project following the removal of a concrete slab within the Grand Port Maritime de Marseille<\/li><\/ul><p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">As the visits progressed, the participants were able to gauge the <strong>variety of approaches<\/strong>, of <strong>innovative techniques<\/strong> mobilised and<strong> socio-economic contexts<\/strong> in which these projects are situated.<\/p><p><strong>A day rich in discussion and the sharing of experiences, which fully highlighted the challenges and solutions involved in the sustainable restoration of Mediterranean
