Since 2004, the Research apprentices<\/strong> enables secondary school students to immerse themselves in the world of scientific research by working alongside professionals, directly in laboratories. It's a unique opportunity to discover the scientific process, learn about research and expand your knowledge.<\/p>

This year, Shahinaz GHANDI<\/strong>a 3rd year student at Coll\u00e8ge Jos\u00e9phine Baker, was welcomed to theIMBE<\/strong>within the teams BEEM<\/strong> <\/a>and HEALTH<\/strong><\/a>. It was supervised by Calli PAUL<\/strong>a second-year doctoral student, as part of her thesis on the ANR LiCOCO<\/a> - Living with chlordecone: opportunity-based co-construction<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>

Over a period of several months, Shahinaz discovered the issues surrounding chlordecone pollution and how scientific research can contribute to solutions that are jointly developed with the people concerned. She gave a brilliant presentation of her work and that of her supervisor at the Apprentice Researchers Conference<\/strong>the 28 May 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>
