Disciplinary field : palaeoecology, ecology & geosciences

Summary of professional achievements

1 - Researches
My researches focus on the palaeoclimatic, palaeoecological and palaeoenvironmental reconstruction of environments of the Palaeoarctic world for the last 3 Ma in. I first worked on the question of the last glaciation in the French mountain, them on the last five climatic cycles of western Europe, and for the last 10 years, I work on ecosystems et agrosystems changes under the effect of climate and civilization changes in the Mediterranean basin, the Middle East and in Central Asia. My approach is interdisciplinary, combining the techniques and concepts of Life Sciences, Earth Sciences and Humanities. In September 2018, I am the author of 115 articles in per-reviewed journals (among them 91 published in journals of the JCR list), 37 chapters of books. H Index ISI WOS : 25.

2 - Teaching
I teach biology, ecology and palaeoecology in Master essentially and in Licence (L1) at Aix-Marseille University. I also teach abroad, level Master, in Tunisia, Faculty of Sciences of Sfax and Tunis.
