Biodiversity and adaptation: a field school between France and Morocco

For the first time, students in the Biodiversity, Ecology and Evolution (BEE) - routes Biodiversity and ecosystem functioning (BIOEFFECT)These courses, which can be taken face-to-face or by distance learning, have been brought together in a single field school.
Thanks to financing Amidex (COOPERAIE) and ITEM (FORMED-ADAPT)students and teachers fromAMU-OSU Pythéas travelled this week to Morocco, to the cork oak forests of Benslimaneto meet their counterparts from the Masters Environmental Management and Sustainable Development (EMDS) at Hassan II University in Casablanca.

🌍 The aim of this school is to study cork oak forests in order to compare threats and opportunities linked to biodiversity and local knowledge, in a context of climate change and changing uses. It also aims to identify the adaptation processes of these socio-ecological systems.
