Research engineer in molecular biology

Biodiversity

As a research engineer, I manage a technical platform within the BMC team, alongside a scientific manager. My role is to continuously provide shared equipment, as well as tools and consumables to support projects. I develop experimental approaches tailored to the needs of the projects, analyses, interpretations and technical guidance proposals for the researchers. With a wealth of experience since 2003, I have acquired in-depth knowledge of various methods and tools in molecular and cellular biology, as well as monitoring the literature. These skills enable me to take part in projects in molecular ecology and evolutionary biology. My expertise includes the ability to adapt to marine and terrestrial organisms, such as sponges, invertebrates and plants, and to meet technical challenges while taking biological constraints into account. Finally, I share my know-how by providing advice, training and coaching to users.

  • 2003-2011 - Assistant CNRS engineer in molecular biology - DIMAR UMR6540
  • 2012-2023 - Assistant CNRS engineer in molecular and cellular biology - IMBE UMR7263
  • 2024-Today - CNRS research engineer in molecular and cellular biology - IMBE UMR7263
  • Technical Manager of the Molecular and Cellular Biology Department (BMC) IMBE
  • Molecular biology
  • Cell Biology
  • Quantitative RT-PCR (real-time PCR)
  • Oscarella lobularis bud (marine sponge)

My expertise on the Oscarella bud lobularis has enabled me to present a 2-hour module on "Alternative methods" in the CNRS "Aquatic animal experimentation" course in Marseille.
