After training in ecology at the University of Lyon 1, I completed a DEA (post-graduate diploma) in ecology at the University of Paul Cézanne (Aix-Marseille III). As part of my doctoral studies with the Ecologie des Eaux Continentales team and the Société des Eaux de Marseille (CIFRE grant), I carried out research into the ecology of phytoplankton in artificial reservoirs in the Mediterranean region; I also taught as an instructor. I was recruited by the Université Paul Cézanne as an ATER and then Maître de Conférences in 2003. Since then, I've been developing research into algal and cyanobacterial assemblages and the ecology of aquatic environments. I am currently a member of the 'Populations, Landscapes, Communities and Conservation' (POPCO) team at IMBE. I'm in charge of the Life and Earth Sciences undergraduate degree and year head of the L3 SVT 'BIOdiversity and ECOlogy' course at Aix-Marseille University.
