Biodiversity

My main topics of research are the biogeography and conservation of plant biodiversity, from conservation genetics to macroecology, within the Mediterranean Biogeographic Region and the Sahara Desert. My current researches are focused on the biogeographic process linked to the origin and evolution of the Mediterranean flora, and their implications towards a conservation biogeography framework, notably on small Mediterranean islands.

President of the Scientific Council of the international NGO PIM Initiative (small Mediterranean Islands), and of two National Botanical Conservatories (French Mediterranean and Corsica).

Author of 313 publications (113 articles in SCI indexed Journals; 70 articles in journals with editorial board; 3 textbooks; 4 special issues of journals; 54 chapters of books; 67 other publications).
