coviability of social-ecological systems

I study the interactions between (generally) rural populations and (generally) wild plant diversity. Following a thesis on the transmission of Amazigh knowledge of medicinal plants in the High Atlas, I carried out research into the evolution of local plant knowledge systems over time in Scandinavia, in collaboration with historians and botanists. During this time, I also became interested in the future of this knowledge, which led me to collaborate with the Norwegian gatherers' society. Today, I'm particularly interested in gathering practices. My research aims to understand the environmental care practices of gatherers, their motivations and the impact of these practices on socio-ecosystems. I use a participatory and transdisciplinary approach - I listen to the interests of the communities I work with. This has led me to work on global change.
