With expertise in ecology, microbial ecology, environmental microbiology and ecotoxicology, using the tools of molecular biology, new generation sequencing and multivariate statistics, my research focuses on the structure and composition of communities of microorganisms, their relationships with animal or plant hosts and their variability according to environmental conditions.
Having long been fascinated by the underwater world and a class 2B scientific diver, I am currently developing research projects on the study of biodiversity in Posidonia meadows and their sensitivity to man-made contaminants.
