Global changes

Focusing on the impacts of climate change and phytosanitary practices, my studies are concentrating on a generalist predator serving farmers in apple orchards: Forficula pubescens. My thesis involves studying the biology of the species and its population dynamics in apple orchards in the south of France. I am studying the responses of the model to biotic and abiotic stresses, using enzyme assays and behavioural studies in relation to agricultural practices. Ultimately, the aim is to promote F. pubescens in biological control systems in Mediterranean orchards.

"Physiological and behavioural responses of the generalist predator, Forficula pubescens (Dermaptera: Forficulidae) in the face of various biotic and abiotic constraints with a view to biological control in apple orchards".
