As with all SER conferences, this year's 15ᵉ edition is to share knowledge and strengthen links between those involved in ecological restoration, while building bridges with themes that have not yet been fully integrated, such as restoring ecological networks (particularly dark infrastructures) and marine ecosystems.
Particular attention will be paid to restoration of wetlands and coastal ecosystems, Brittany is a region strongly influenced by these environments. The conference will also look at implementation of future European legislation on catering as well as national restoration plans.
All aspects of ecosystem restoration will be addressed, including the following dimensions ecological, sociological and political, and concerning all regions, with a particular focus on overseas territories. An important place will be given to training, education and participation of young researchers.
