Cécile Albert wins European funding for her BioValidR project
Cécile Albert, CNRS research director at the Institut méditerranéen de biodiversité et d'écologie marine et continentale (IMBE) and winner of an ERC Starting Grant in 2021 for the project SCALED, gets a ERC Proof of Concept grant for its project BioValidR.
The aim of this project is to develop tools for assessing the biological potential of different restoration scenarios before they are implemented. The hypotheses will be tested and validated on a concrete case of renaturation in an urban area, that of Plaine Commune Grand Paris. By combining biodiversity modelling and microcosm experiments, the team will be able to identify the most effective restoration models, contributing to the development of territories more sustainable and resilient.
