Biodiversity, Socio-ecological cohabitation

My thesis is in the fields of’plant ecology, the’population ecology and ecological restoration.

I'm particularly interested in the restoration of Mediterranean grasslands, a slow and complex process. Despite several decades of effort, certain key species are struggling to recolonise the restored areas, which raises questions about the mechanisms underlying these difficulties in establishing themselves. The aim is to explore three fundamental aspects that influence these dynamics: the seed dispersalthe clonal growth and the genetic diversity grass populations.

This integrative approach should make it possible to remove the obstacles to the effectiveness of ecological restoration of Mediterranean grasslands.
