I'm a research engineer on the European SCALED research project and I'm in charge of field data collection for the Macrolands component. Since 2021, I have set up a hair collection protocol and a protocol for capturing and GPS tracking red squirrels, which I am continuing in various study areas in the south of France. I also work in the laboratory, in particular for the microscopic identification of hair samples. I'm in charge of storing samples and various Excel and GIS databases for field data. I also work closely with the various members of the Macrolands team (researchers, post-docs, engineers, trainees).

  • 2021-2026 - Research engineer - IMBE, Aix-en-Provence
  • 2019 - Degree in Organismal Biology - University of Burgundy, Dijon
  • 2021 - Masters in Biodiversity Dynamics and Conservation - University of Burgundy, Dijon
  • Setting up and monitoring field protocols
  • Capture of small mammals
  • Telemetry, GPS

The aim of the SCALED project is to understand the window of opportunity offered by landscape layout (habitats, matrices) for preserving biodiversity. Is a continuous habitat more favourable than several connected patches? There is still a debate, and we need to provide empirical evidence to resolve it. Macrolands is one strand of this project, studying red squirrels in study areas with different configurations and quantities of forest habitat.
