I have 2 research themes:

Traceability of vegetable and essential oils

Objective tools are needed to guarantee the varietal and geographical origin of oils. A product "identity card" can be created on the basis of spectroscopic fingerprints and chemical compositions (fatty acids, triglycerides for vegetable oils, phenols, tocopherols, terpenes, etc.). Data processing reveals geographical differences.

Ageing of natural and manufactured products

Understanding ageing processes enables us to optimise the manufacture and preservation of products and prevent their deterioration. Ageing simulation tools (thermal, photochemical) can be used. Chemometric processing of spectroscopic and chromatographic data on products before and after ageing can be used to identify compounds affected by ageing.
