As part of the The 26th Scientific Conference for Lecturers and Researchers, organised by the Aix-Marseille University, The Endoume Marine Station (IMBE) hosted secondary school teachers for a day of discussions on biodiversity issues.
These meetings enable teachers to learn about ongoing scientific research and to update their knowledge through direct contact with researchers.
In Endoume, the presentations focused in particular on biodiversity, exploring its origins and evolution, as well as the ecological processes that shape ecosystems.
These discussion sessions also provide an opportunity to present the methods, the approaches and tools dedicated to research, thereby contributing to a better understanding of scientific practices.
These meetings contribute to the development of lasting relationships between research and secondary education, by promoting regular exchanges and the knowledge transfer between these two spheres.
