Summary of the conference

Bed bugs have been making a remarkable comeback in Western society for some time now, despite the fact that they have long been known to cause major inconvenience. Although they do not transmit diseases directly, they are a nuisance and it is very difficult to get rid of them once the home is infected. A portrait of this species, Cimex lectularius, will be presented, including historical, physiological and ecological aspects, as well as practical methods for eliminating these insects in the event of contamination.
